More Radio-Active-Music.com goodies on the way!

I've had a lot of great feedback since the launch of the site; first I'd like to welcome the two latest artist additions: Full Frequency & Anjeliina!

Secondly, if any of you happen to be wavering on the T-shirts, I just recieved mine today and they rock! The pink turned out to be a little, eh, purple, but other than that, very nice! Stickers are good, too! So there you have it, my seal of approval!

To make demo submissions a bit easier, I will be posting a PO box number soon. In the meantime, still feel free to email me for an address.

What's coming?

Album/demo reviews for Booboo's Punch, No Fate, Disown, and The Birthday Massacre.

Interviews with Redrum, Fluffy Starr, and 51 Peg, as well as many, many others. I had an enormous amount of feedback from the artists I've contacted, so I will be busy for awhile!

Brand new songs and clips you won't find elsewhere - I can't say who yet, but I've had at least 3 artists express interest in putting exclusive songs on this site!

Promo materials. If you like what you see here, let your friends know! I'll be creating banners, avatars, icons, and more...later on there will be flyers, business cards, and eventually t-shirt.

Probably the longest update ever - Celldweller!

Celldweller’s first music video “Switchback” is now complete. We are counting down to its debut on Celldweller.com: 7-19-04. In the near future, a fully packaged DVD, with custom artwork and menus, 2 versions of the Switchback video, and a bonus Live Promo Clip will be available for only $5.

In the coming months we will be servicing the “Switchback” video to various music video channels, including: MTV 2, Fuse, and Much Music. We will be depending on the Cellmates and Street Teamers to help vote and request the video to get it into heavy rotation. We have now created a “Switchback Video” thread on “CELLBLOCK 454” for discussion of the video, airing times, and news associated with the video.

We will be adding several new Production Stills to the Switchback gallery in the images section of the site, as we count down to the video debut on www.celldweller.com.

CELLDWELLER: THE BETA CESSIONS
A 2 disc CD containing a collection of unreleased and rare tracks is scheduled to be released this Late Summer or Early Fall. Entitled “The Beta Cessions” it will give listeners a glimpse back at early Demo Mixes from the Debut Record, Instrumental versions of the Debut Record, as well as some alternate versions of songs.

The Demo Mixes are from Klayton’s original studio time in Detroit back in 2000. A few of the Detroit mixes were originally released on mp3.com, and now, with a few previously unreleased Detroit mixes, they will be officially put out in “The Beta Cessions.”

The Instrumental versions of the Debut record are now being released due to the hype they created in the film/tv industry, as well as the relentless requests of fans. Every single track from the Debut album has now been licensed to the film/tv industry and we want you, the fans to be able to enjoy those soundtrack versions of the songs.

We will also be including the 2001 version of Switchback, mixed by Ben Grosse (Filter/Marilyn Manson). This is an early version of the song, yet a completely different composition, including different lyrics from the album version. For those who remember the Detroit version of Switchback released on mp3.com, and the difference it had from the album version, this will be just as major of a separation from the others.

“How is it that it came to be that everybody’s gone but me, I’m left to face the end alone...” - Switchback 2001 (Mixed by Ben Grosse)

Klayton has also decided to release a completely re-recorded version of the last song he wrote as Circle of Dust - “Goodbye.”

"The original song had never really been completed. It had captured a moment in time for me, but it lacked sonically and structurally. I knew what I wanted by fusing drum and bass elements and more organic content revolving around one powerful word (goodbye), but it never got there. While I was recording the debut CD, I used a night that I could have taken off and gone to a movie to instead completely re-track Goodbye the way I heard it in my head. Although every piece of content has been replaced, the emotion of the song is still intact (in my own mind, at least) and saved a track from death that for me, never really had a proper birth." - Klayton

Also, an additional mix of “Stay With Me (Unlikely)” mixed by Scott Humphrey (Rob Zombie, Crystal Method, BT), and the original 1995 demo of “Under My Feet” will be on the track list.

LICENSING - CATWOMAN / SALEM’S LOT / MAKING OF SPIDERMAN 2
“Switchback” has been licensed for the full length trailer of Catwoman, which has been playing in the previews preceding Spiderman 2 in theaters, as well as in TV Spots. It is available online at: http://pdl.warnerbros.com/wbmovies/catwoman/trailer2/trailer2_hi/trailer2_a.mov.
With the addition of Catwoman, Celldweller has now been licensed to 4 Comic book movie trailers: “The Punisher”, “Spiderman 2”, “Constantine”, and “Catwoman.”

“Unlikely (Stay With Me)” was recently licensed for a TNT remake of Stephen King’s “Salem’s Lot.”

HBO has been running a “Making of Spider-man 2” feature, that includes the full length trailer featuring “Switchback.” Here is a listing of the airing times and information on the documentary: http://www.hbo.com/apps/schedule/ScheduleServlet?ACTION_DETAIL=DETAIL&FOCUS_ID=603909. The Spider-man 2 trailer is also featured as a preview on many new DVD’s available for rent at Video Stores.

Orgy tour dates & music video

FYI we will be posting the first couple of new dates before the end of the week. Grace will post them on D1 home page and keep updating as the dates are confirmed. The video shoot was awesome, ORGY'S PERFORMANCE WAS "ELECTRIC". The fans were exceptional and every one who came is featured in the video. You will not be dissapointed as this video is going to be amazing because of the fans energy level. The guys in Orgy want to thank each and everyone of you who came out to party with the band. They had a ball with you guys and really got to know a few of you much better.
